Prince of Persia

Sila pergi tengok Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. All in all, I personally think it's a good movie and worth the RM8 I paid for the ticket. There were plenty of actions involving roof jumping, wall climbing, a bit of sword fighting, dagger throwing and some vicious snake actions that made me wince in my seat. The love story between Prince Dastan and Princess Tamina was delighting to watch even though there wasn't much to it. They looked good together on screen :) Besides that, the bond between brothers/family was also a notable part of the movie.

Since I watched the trailer a few months back, I was eager to see this movie because I used to play the Prince of Persia computer game back in the 90s; which was definitely one of my favorites. I believe that it was the first of the game series. However, I never played the exact Prince of Persia game this movie was adapted from so I don't really know how similar it is to the game or how does it relate to any Persian history for that matter. The one that I played, I think it was about rescuing a princess.

Back in my childhood years, computers were costly, bulky and hitting the keyboard keys produces such loud annoying noises. The first computer in my house was bought back in 1993 or 1994, I don't really remember but I'm pretty sure it's the latter. Internet only enters the picture in 1999. Tu pun dial-up okay. During the internet deprived period, the computer was only used for gaming purposes. Well, at least for me. My brother loves the computer more than that. At the age of 12 he already read a C++ programming book and I believe he has made his own computer game or some kind of programming by then.

Anyway, it was him who installed a bunch of computer games and provided the cheat codes for them. Seronok weyh main game sampai keyboard tu kena tuka beberapa kali la sebab tekan ganas sangat. Bila main kat atas, selalu kena marah dengan mama yang kat bawah. Time tu rase macam kalau tekan lagi kuat, lagi effective gameplay. Haha.

Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. This two games caused the most violent keyboard hitting actions by yours truly.

Doom and Doom II. Bukan reti sangat main pun it was more like a shooting frenzy lagi-lagi sebab ade cheat code untuk jadi invincible so memang tak mati and yang paling penting ammo tak pernah habis sebab main tipu.

Wolfenstein 3D. Shooting frenzy jugak but it was not as violent as Doom.

Raptor. Another shooting frenzy game.

Lemmings. Ni mencabar minda sket. Nampak macam senang je but wait till you get to more difficult levels.

Indianapolis 500. Car racing. A classic one.

Disney's Aladdin. Paling tak ganas dan comel.

Age of Empires.

Eh, that's quite a list I've got there. Did you notice that most of them involves violence, fighting and shooting? Well, blame my brother for that.
