What If

Dear Claire,

"What" and "If" are two words as non-threatening as words can be. But, put them together, side by side, and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life. What if? I don't know how your story ended, but if what you felt then was true love, then it's never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn't it be true now? You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don't know what a love like Juliet's feels like, a love to leave loved ones for, a love to cross oceans for, but I'd like to believe if I were ever to feel it, that I'd have the courage to seize it. And, Claire, if you didn't, I hope one day that you will.

All my love,
Juliet

As typical as any of my Sundays would be, I spent the whole day relaxing. I was thinking of shopping but I'll save that for another day. And so, I thought that I should watch one of the movies I downloaded recently but haven't got the time to watch them yet.

Today's pick was Letters to Juliet, starring Amanda Seyfried which has a fairly good rating on IMDB. It happens that today I'm in the mood for romantic movies and was hoping that the movie could empty my tear glands. Haha. Well, it did. Now I feel much better :) To be honest, it wasn't that sad, it's just that I'm easily touched by love stories. And by love stories it's not limited to the love between a man and a woman but also love between families, brothers and sisters, parents and children, and even between animals and their owners. Macam cite Marley and Me tu, nangis gile kot.

The excerpt written above was from the movie, Letters to Juliet, right at the end of the movie, read by Claire to her guests on her wedding day. I find that the letter written above was worth posting here as it could be inspirational to some of you.

Anyway, the movie already had me at the opening credits because the soundtrack was the song You Got Me by Colbie Caillat. Which happens to be one of my favourite Colbie song and have been listening to it every morning for months now since it's my alarm :P The same song was also featured on the soundtrack of the romantic movie Leap Year starring Amy Adams and Matthew Goode. It was the closing credits for Leap Year. But for Letters to Juliet, their closing credit features a new Colbie track called, What If. It sounded really good and the lyrics might be as meaningful to me as You Got Me does.

I looked up for the full song in YouTube and googled it only to find that it haven't been released yet. Wikipedia kate album baru Colbie kuar maybe in November or December. So, I'll just have to wait and I'm writing it here so that I won't forget. And if I do forget, please remind me. Tak pun, to make things easier, if any of you found the download link for Colbie's song, What If, please do send it to me. Nak tolong download kan pun takpe. Hehe. Thank you!!! :)

In the mean time, here's the trailer of the movie.
